Pushing The Big 30!
Hey y’all!
Today, 8/24/26 marks my 29th birthday, and the push for 30 is officially in full swing! I am so blessed to see 29 years of creative success in multiple industries after college. I am “in-between blessings” as I like to say. I’m taking a moment to celebrate all I’ve been able to do in 2026 alone. From beginning and completing Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom at Goodman as Sylvester, making my TV debut on NBC/Peacock’s Chicago PD. Then traveling to Atlanta to craft the latest version of Janet Langhart Cohen’s Anne & Emmett as Emmett Till to shooting two short films, Shed and Rise & Fly—both now in post-production, my spring and summer has been LOADED.
With that said, it wouldn’t be the story of a starving artist if there wasn’t some financial roadblock along the way. I have worked and worked and worked both on and off sets but this season has me riding a rough patch. The awesome news: there is even more work (and money) not to far away! I make this post for anyone who has ever supported my art or wishes to in the future, here are some ways to support me!
GoFundMe
If you are seeing this in August or September of 2026, I would greatly appreciate you donating or sharing my GoFundMe link. This will help get me to my next gig and can allow me to rebuild my photography business in the meantime. Link: https://gofund.me/9c3f53abc

3. Stay Tuned!
I have a lot of work on the way! From the public release of 15 Lines, the premiere of Rhythm & Blu, Shed, and Rise and Fly, PLUS the release of the filmed version of Anne and Emmett. On top of that, this fall I’ll be back on stage both in Chicago and also Florida when we take Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom to Sarasota! Your support isn’t just appreciated, it keeps me going:)
Thanks for all the birthday love, til next time!
